At the beginning of the drill meet at the designated meeting place and report the status of your family, your home, and if you need any assistance.
Licensed HAM Radio Operators
Before the drill check into the stake net (147.54 simplex) on Sunday, March 20 and 27 for training and instruction regarding the drill.
At the beginning of the drill immediately check into the net (147.54 simplex) to coordinate your assignment.
Block Captains
Before the drill make sure you have contacted all members of your block to make them aware of your designated meeting place and be sure they know to meet there immediately after the morning session of General Conference to report the status of their families, homes, and if they need any assistance. Also coordinate with the bishop to determine where you will meet the neighborhood (ward) representative, normally the bishop or a member of the bishopric, and the HAM radio operator, to provide the collected information to them. Obtain the forms used to collect the information from your Ward Emergency Preparedness Specialist listed above.
At the beginning of the drill go to the designated meeting place, collect the information from your block families. If a family doesn’t report right away send someone to their home to determine if they are OK or if they need assistance. When you have the information meet with the neighborhood (ward) representative and report the information.
Bishops
Before the drill establish a meeting place for the neighborhood (ward) representative, normally you or a member of the bishopric and the HAM radio operator, to collect the information and forward it to the stake. Also, announce in your meetings that the drill will be held on April 2 immediately after the Saturday morning session of General Conference and we need the members and HAM radio operators to prepare. Instruct them to check the ward website (nfprep.com) for further instructions.
At the beginning of the drill meet at the designated location, collect the information, transfer the information to the stake via your HAM radio operator and coordinate with your Elder’s Quorum and Relief Society Presidents to provide the assistance your ward members need.
